Sometimes we smell gas in the kitchen. So I bought this detector. I tried with a lighter, and it reacts in seconds.
The good thing is. If he doesn't smell anything anymore, it shuts off it self.

No Logo, No direction. I have bought 2 device and tried this directly to gas store on High (no flame) for several minutes. Results No sound or any alarm. I have tried it with a Lighter as previous comments . Results No sound or any alarm. This device is similar to prior seller but he is using a different sellers name due the poor comments on the similar product. Be aware!
Rip Off.

After receiving the unit I plugged it and left it for a couple of days. I then placed it on the counter adjacent to the stove-top and turned the nearest burner on part way. In probably no more than 20 seconds the alarm sounded. I turned the burner off, pulled the alarm away, and maybe 15 seconds later it shut off.

Checked it with butane lighter gas and it went off. Installed within 6ft of gas oven in kitchen. Just a little extra security in the house.

I included a link above for the gas detector. I placed this over an open burner and it failed to work. I was very surprised. We have a new baby in the house so my wife asked me to stop flooding the house with gase to make this video. I have to return this item, but I was very surprised to have to return this package to Hong Kong. Especially since it does not work. I think it is unfair to have to do that, but oh well, global commerce. I hated this, it did not work on an open burner and I think it should not be sold unless it works. Here is the link again.
