Nice an cheap SoftAP Jul 18, 2011
By Alejandro I bought this USB adapter mainly beacause I want to connect my Nintendo DS to the Internet without lowering my Wireless network security (Nintendo DS only accepts connections with WEP encryption). So I tried to configure the device in Windows 7 and couldn't because Windows 7 doesn't allow you to create SoftAP's with WEP or no encryption at all, the minimum setting is WPA2.
In order to solve this issue I installed a Windows XP virtual machine and there it worked flawlessly. The included software made the confiuration very easy and the manufacturer's Website has a little tutorial explaining this device different modes.
To conclude, the device is very cheap and works as advertised, just be aware that you need Windows XP in order to create a SoftAP with WEP encryption.

Very poor reception Apr 15, 2011
By Lee Reeves This gets very poor reception for me - two to three bars with frequent stalling and disconnects in the same location where my laptop has perfect reception.
TP-Link TL-WN321G (V4.1) Wireless adapter Apr 17, 2012
By anonymous These adapters are version 4.1. They have the Ralink RT2070 chipset. They DO NOT have the Ralink RT73 chipset. By using the rt2800usb driver, you can still inject and monitor on some versions of Linux though. Works with BT5R1 GNOME 32 & BT5R1 GNOME 64 out the box.
