Versatile Spitfire kit Feb 05, 2011
By JDB Revell - big name keeps the price down.
This kit is easy to build and an easy kit to convert to everything from a Spit Mk I to a Mk V Trop. With the correct wingtips, it is easy to convert to a clipped wing version or to a extended tip for high altitude.
Be careful when assembling the landing gear - the starboard gear has a tendancy to twist when drying.
Recommendation - get a Airfix Seafire kit and 2x of these. You can have a Seafire, Mk II and a Mk V or MK 5 Trop with all the pieces you get.

Good Price Feb 07, 2012
By The Duck The molds used to make the parts for this plane are very old. Some of the parts do not fit well. The landing gear is very weak. See photo I added with the support legs I added to hold the plane up. The kit has a very good price, so it's a good starting point for beginners.

Pieces did not fit well Sep 10, 2012
By lbola I was excited to receive this kit. I began building it and painting some of the finer parts. When I attempted to assemble the fuselage to the wings the problems started. The fuselage seemed twisted, it would not fit straight onto the wings. I tried sanding certain pieces, but nothing worked. I had to discard this product, as it was impossible to straighten the fuselage enough for it to fit onto the wings. I assume there was a flaw with my kit, and that others have worked well.
