I am shocked by the fact that my 6-year old will play with this thing for over an hour each day, but he has a bunch of the "add-on" toys that add to the fun. This toy is like getting several in one because you can take off the arms & legs which are animals and can be played with separately. These are some of the add-ons we have, which I also recommend:
Power Ranger Samurai OctoZord And Mega Ranger Light
Power Ranger Samurai BeetleZord And Mega Ranger Forest
Power Ranger Samurai TigerZord And Mega Ranger Fire
Power Ranger Samurai Swordfish with Blue Ranger
Power Ranger Samurai ClawZord
My son currently loves playing with Legos, Beyblades, and Bakugan so I was very surprised when these toys held his attention for so long because they didn't seem that interesting in comparison with the others. But you can make all sorts of different creatures using the various Zords and he loves reconfiguring them.
This is a MUST for Power Ranger Samurai fans (or Power Rangers, in general), especially if your child likes building things out of Legos, Zoobs, etc.

My son LOVES this toy! It came on time, as promised. Besides that, it's really durable! I know because I have stepped on quite a few of the different pieces at various times and everything still works perfectly. He's really happy and so is Mom! Well worth the investment!

When my daughter said that my grandson desperately wanted this action figure for his birthday, I was skeptical. Another toy with a bunch of pieces that would be lost immediately or break, a sword that would stimulate his desire to stick things like his sister, and in general something that would keep his attention for 20 minutes, tops.
However, he loved it, didn't stick anyone with the sword (after a warning), nothing has broken, and since he and Mom kept the pieces together (in part because they are mostly fairly large, I think), it was a very successful gift. Since it breaks down into a series of robo-animals, it's less warlike and the animals can interact with each other in play. Everything fits together smoothly, and he was able to completely take it apart and put it together soon after it was unwrapped. It was useful in taking along to a series of informal shore restaurants to keep him at the table and out of mischief on vacation. Good toy.

Like previous reviewers have mentioned, this is a durable toy. I've only had one of the arms of the monkey come off but it was a cinch to reattach. Once you get the battlewing zords and combine them with the megazord, the play value increases because it will give the megazord flight capabilities. To do it, get the tiger, swordfish, and beetle auxilary zords, then bring them together with the main zords.

My son is 6 and he loves this toy. It is easy for him to take apart and put back together.
