Review after used the battery for almost a week.
1. Received as per schedule
2. Good enough packaging
3. Perfect fit in Dell Inspiron 1525 battery socket but stick out ¾ inch from back side (Somewhere I read that the Dell original 9 cell battery for my laptop model will also stick out)
4. Other than changing battery (few second job), had to do nothing to get the battery recognized or charged
5. Charging speed is like 1% per min
6. From fully charged to 8% remained, it went for around 3hrs with moderate use
Buying aftermarket product is always a bet. I took this bet and won. This purchase was supported by return and refund policy so bet risk factor was very low.
The battery Sold by "Newtrent" and shipped by Amazon. I got this battery to replace original 6 cell X284G battery.

Purchased this for my daughters laptop as the original battery went bad. Product arrived super fast and was a perfect match for the inspiron 1545 laptop wich is not listed in the description. Also the battery will last 4 hours on a single charge,Great value and very good product.

This is an excellent 9-cell replacement for the 6-cell battery on my Dell 1525 notebook. Works as advertised and arrived on time - no problems. Best thing is that I could buy 4 of these for the price of one from Dell. Can't go wrong at that price. Keeps a charge for about 5 hours of regular use.

Please note that when I puchased this battery it was not this expensive. I don't remember just how much it was,($30 or $40) but figured that at that price I could afford to replace it 3 times as compared to a Dell battery. Got it to replace the 6 cell in my Inspiron 1525 when it died after about 2 yrs of use. When it arrived (a day early) I unplugged the power cord and let the light go out, then removed the old battery and popped in the new one. Let it charge for a day and absolutely no problems. I get about 4 hours unplugged, mixed usage. Only had it a month but so far it's great. It does stick out (less than an inch) but the computer still fits in my case so a non-issue for me.
Okay, after having it for a while now, (7 months) I've run a couple of experiments and here's what I got. Unplugged and doing nothing I get 7hrs and 45min with 4%(7min) remaining. Plugged it back in and after 2hrs and 8min I was back up to 91%. After it had fully recharged I uplugged again and did nothing but surfing on the internet. After 2hrs and 17min I still had 13%(48min) remaining. Not bad in my opinion.
So far this has been an excellent replacement for me.

Bought this for my son, who is at college, because the battery for his Dell laptop 6 cell that came with the computer would not hold a charge. Looked at several batteries on Amazon, read reviews and chose this battery not really knowing if it would work or not, just took my chances. My son came into town and picked it up, took it back to college and put it in the computer and hasn't had any problems whatsoever. I would recommend this battery even though I was not the user. My son definitely would have complained if it hadn't worked, so I will recommend the battery to anyone searching. And thanks again to Amazon for their quick shipping.
