I purchased this product for my Dell Latitude D820, after I found out that my optical drive was dying. The obvious signs included slow burning speed, and a progressively worse burn quality. After reviewing many option in Amazon, I picked this one and I'm certain it was a good choice.
The Drive arrived quickly, it was a perfect fit in my drive bay, and the computer recognized it instantly (plug and play). I was burning a test disk within 5 minutes of unpacking it, and it worked to perfection. Even the paint on it matches the paint on the computer almost exactly.
Great Product and at a much better price than the replacement unit from Dell.

The part I ordered arrived sooner than expected and in excellent condition. I installed the DVD RW/CD RW drive and it fit like a glove in my laptop!!

This drive is the perfect addition to my work laptop. I have many occasions that I need to save large amounts of data and need a DVD instead of a CD. This performs the read/write functions perfectly.

This drive works just fine and was easy to install. It isn't whisper quiet but not any worse than other laptop drives I've had.
The only reason I docked a star is that the drive's fit in the bay is not perfect. The fit on the stock drive was quite snug, whereas this one moves around a bit more when it's plugged in. But as I said no major noise issues and it doesn't seem to affect performance.
All that said I've only had it less than a month and used it a dozen times. Will update if anything goes wrong with it...

The description was clear and mad it easy to select. I receivedd it quickly and installed it. It works fine. I had a problem with a mounting screw and I told them about it. They when above and beyound to fix my problem. Great communication, great service. I would buy from them again.
