... if one of your destinations only supports stereo sound, like your stereo TV. I found this hard way after buying another HDMI splitter. And that's because description on Amazon page and manual don't say anything about this. And it looks like it is the issue with all HDMI splitters: audio defaults to the lowest audio output connected

I bought this HDMI splitter when it was sold by SFPlanet. When I connected my BD player to splitter and then one cable to TV and one to my AV receiver I noticed that receiver didn't show blue light for multichannel audio. I decided to troubleshoot and used HDMI cable to connect BD player directly to receiver and I got blue light. So, this HDMI splitter works but it doesn't pass through multichannel audio. I am returning it.

Using to share TiVo with 3 TVs in 3 different rooms Dec 14, 2011

I have 3 HD TVs in 3 different rooms to which I wanted to connect the same HD TiVo. One of the TVs does not support hdmi, the other two do.
I have previously tried a 4x2 True Matrix High Speed HDMI Powered Switch w/ Remote Controller (HDMI x.v. Color) but had problems with the TiVo showing errors on the non hdmi connected tv such as "hdmi output not supported / permitted" when none of the hdmi TVs were turned on. To resolve one would have to turn on/off the TVs in a certain order which became very annoying.
I have had this device for 3 weeks now with no such problems. A 30 foot hdmi runs from the TiVo to this splitter, then a 15 foot hdmi Runs to a Sony HT-CT150 3D Sound Bar System and then to an Apex LCD. A separate 10 meter hdmi runs from this box to a 32" vizio. Picture looks great on all 3 TVs with digital sound when available from source.
Component video and optical Audio are used to connect the tv in the same room as the TiVo.

Product works flawlessly. No complaints whatsoever. Splitting to multiple TVs with no problems. Picture and audio switch with no delay. Picture and audio are perfect.

It does everything it says it will do, viz., it supplies sufficient signal to power four TVs from a single source.

Excellent HDMI splitter. Jan 17, 2012

Great price and fast shipment of product. Unit has been in service over six months and works well. If running lengths longer than 50' make sure to get a special HDMI cable rated and tested for that length. I tested the individual cables before fishing through the walls and that saved me alot of headaches. I have a 75', two 50'and a 6' HDMI cables plugged in from my office throughout the house. Excellent picture and sound.
