So far so good, not entirely convinced yet Feb 18, 2010
By Paul Handsome I've had the Touchsmart for over a month now and while do not regret settling for the AMD version, I sure would have liked the Intel one (pricier). The Touchsmart software doesn't run smoothly, it takes a while to load and sometimes does not work. The first days it would simply not work at all, but after I did a software update thru HP's system doctor suite, it improve, but still freezes sometimes.
In general, it's is not as the simulated images on TV or You Tube, it takes a while to load each program (videos, music, photos, canvas, etc) specially those media relates like music and photos (which was the whole idea of having the media computer after all). Once it's loaded it's fun to play with, to be fair.
My wife is satisfied with it, as her Photoshop and Illustrator run much better here than in the 6 year old computer that we had and the 21" LCD screen is beautiful and larger compared to our old CRT 15" monitor, plus the touch feature, which she really doesn't use.
I haven't been able to make it work with my LAN cable from the router, it is only using the wireless connection and somehow I think it could be faster if accessing the Internet through the cable, just a thought, probably wrong.
Windows 7 looks pretty much the same as Vista, which I have been using at the office for 2 years. But my Intel Centrino Toshiba Portege surely performs better.
Conclusion, I am glad I bought it, technology works great, sounds very good too, visual is a plus, much better than what I used to have at home, however, would like to confirm whether the 23" (which I don't) Intel version (Touchsmart 600) is worth the extra $500.
Will tell you more in a couple of months.

So far so good Aug 30, 2010
By Brian from AZ I have had this computer for about 8 months. It has performed flawlessly. I was a little worried at first because I never bought a computer from Amazon, but they delivered it in great time and shape. I have nothing negative to say. The touch screen is fun, but it does leave finger prints, that's the worst thing I can think of. It is fast and I have had no problems connecting to wi-fi and bluetooth. I love that there are no wires accept for the power plug. It really cleans up the work area. Great product so far, as I said, so far so good!

Futuristic Technology but with Issues Sep 22, 2010
By G. Max Gooding I purchased a few of these computers. This machine is very high tech, in looks and feel. I think that it is just a generation or two behind the computers that you would see in movies like Iron Man 2 and the Minority Report. It is pretty easy to set up, but I have found some issues with them:
[1] White Haze on Screen: this is a burn in problem with the screen. After 2 full days of running this haze will disappear.
[2] Limited upgradability - just like a laptop, you can only change the hard drive and the memory. To access these, there are 2 screws at the back (near the hinge of the rear support) that must be removed. Once these screws are out, the 2 back panels will slide out laterally.
[3] Be sure to turn off the mouse if you are not going to use the machine for a few days. Otherwise you can encounter connection problems when you go to use the machine again.
[4] If you encounter problems running games or graphics software, be sure to upgrade the drivers for the video card, this will greatly improve its speed and capability.
All in all these machines are great, just put them through the paces to make sure that they are free from defects, because a few duds may have slipped past the quality control department.

A Fun All in One Computer Jan 21, 2010
By Robert A. Kotlen We are very pleased with the computer: Speed, ease of use, and the stuff packed in it are great. Windows 7 is the best part.
HP Touchsmart 300-1025 Jul 05, 2011
By Joe P. HP TouchSmart 300-1025 20-Inch Black Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium) I purchased this computer in Feb. of 2011 and so far it has been an excellent computer, touchscreen works great even my grandson who is only 2 years has fun with it on Youtube, I replaced the wireless mouse because it was a little slow and the wireless keyboard because the keys were a little flimsy but all in all it has been very good. I like the no-wires format that leaves no clutter on the desk. The TV Tuner works good too, I use it instead of a tv in my computer room. Wifi also works, I also have a HP Wireless printer which works excellent with this computer. I am looking to buy another HP Touchsmart 300 computer for the household computer.
