The device worked as described for ~1 month, then started to fail. The picture color is way off and 'whitewashed.' I couldn't make out what was on the screen. No amount of tinkering with the cables would help. Vendor refused to consider a return, due to a 30-day policy. Vendor did not provide any information with how to get in touch with the manufacturer. Manufacturer's web presence is non-existent.

DID NOT WORK! came with user manual to hook up. come on! color coded duhhh! ok sorry. red LED power on, BLUE LED Converter Box working! NO BLUE LED! seller said not compatable with my DVD player. DVD player is NEW out of box..did get refund but would have liked to try a diferent/exchange for one that the blue LED would light on!

I was excited when I got it in the mail because I was ready to integrate my older 360 with my HDMI receiver. It failed through this process. I got audio, but no video. Then I turned everything off, and hooked the unit up directly to the tv bypassing the switcher, but to no avail. I'm going to return it as soon as possible.

After a few purchases and returns to get the right product elsewhere on Amazon, I came across this product which only had one review. So I purchased this and IT FREAKING WORKS!!! I needed something that could go from component input and convert it to HDMI output. This is what you need! I am also running this with my happauge HD-PVR and the quality is Crystal Clear! I bought this to use with my new Hauppauge HD PVR 1445. My TV only has HDMI inputs, and the Hauppauge uses component which was a problem. I used this and it works great! No lagging at all or quality difference. I strongly recommend it!
