Great item for Cars fans but price is not right Nov 30, 2011

This is a must buy if your child is a Cars fan. The truck is very durable; after 3 months of constant playing, it still works like day-1. Opening it might be a little tricky at the beginning for your child, but they learn it pretty quickly; just show them how to insert some pressure on the top of the truck in the mid section. Overall, great toy. The missing star comes from seeing almost the same set at Toys R'Us for a better price and that set included Uncle Topolino, Guido, and Luigi as a bonus (a $15 value).

My son is obsessed with Cars so he really loves this truck. The rear door is a bit tough to open, especially for a young child. A lot of the parts within the trailer open up so they can be lost if care is not taken. He hasn't broken it yet so that's a fairly good sign of it's durability. Overall, it's a good buy.

Regarding transaction through Amazon and the delivery of the item.....EXCELLENT! Regarding the item itself: I bought this item for my grandson's 4th birthday the first part of Sept., here we are in the first part of Oct. and it's already falling apart. The trailer is fairly difficult to open and everything in the trailer is what's falling apart. I personally don't have a good opinion of this item, I think it's very cheaply made and too pricey for what it is.....but my grandson loved it while it lasted.

We bought this play set for our 2 1/2 year old. Mack is his favorite character . This set is the cause of most of his recent meltdowns. Even I have a hard time opening it. He cannot open the truck and pieces break off so easily. He doesn't use it for anything more than to drive McQueen around and put him "night night" I plan to buy the hauler and hid this toy until he's a bit older and can actually open it himself.

My son loves this, but I don't know if I would buy it again. He is three and a half and has trouble opening it up. You basically have to grab the back of the top of the truck and pull it apart to get it to open. Not easy. Then it is quite a bit smaller than I thought it would be. Guess they were trying to stay to scale with the cars. Also, there are many inner parts that stick up, and can make it difficult for a little one to close it back up again without smashing the inside parts that stick up; and come out of place and could become choking hazards to very small kids and babies so be aware of this. Like I said, my son's favorite Christmas gift, but it has issues to be aware of.
