For me it is easier to not use it... maybe it will work well for you Sep 11, 2011
By Bob Tobias
"Robert Tobias"
What I liked:
- Paired easily and quickly with my iPhone 4.
- Has a well built look and a solid feel.
- Snaps open and closed with a spring assist.
- You get more screen area for things besides an on-screen keyboard. (True for any external keyboard.)
- The price.
What I didn't like:
- The keys are very close together. I have average sized thumbs/fingers for a fairly large guy and it was difficult for me to reliably hit the correct key (and only the correct key).
- The top row of keys, the numbers, are particularly difficult to use because there are so close to the edge of the case.
- There's a 2-key sequence to switch between using this keyboard and the standard on-screen one. If you close the keyboard without hitting the sequence you won't be able to type anything without re-opening the keyboard first.
- You lose the Auto Capitalize and "hitting space twice starts a new sentence" functions.
- It's harder to type in dim light or the dark since you can't see the keys like you can with the on-screen keyboard. (True with any external keyboard that isn't backlit (backlighted?).
Bottom line: Well built with a few irritating design issues. This could be an excellent value for someone with small hands and nimble fingers.

Well Worth $37.00! Jul 28, 2011
By J. Cole I just recently received my iPhone Bluetooth keyboard two days ago and I can honestly say, of all the accecessories I have purchased for my iPhone this has to be the best investment I have made! Very convenient and easy to use. It does it exactly what it says it's supposed to and it came in only 2 business days from the time I ordered it. You can't beat speedy service like that. Overall, this product is well worth the money. A+!

Not as helpful as I had hoped Aug 22, 2011
By Dean The idea is good, but the execution isn't quite there. My interest in buying this was to be more accurate in my typing by having a positive contact keyboard, and by having greater surface area to type on. But that's not what you get with this keyboard . It does work well, and the Bluetooth sync is easy to set up. They keyboard tray is durable. It's nice to gain the extra lines of text on the phone by not needing the on screen keyboard. It works well. The problem is the keys are actually smaller than the iPhone in the horizontal orientation. A fourth row of characters is added for numbers. The result is the keys are small and grouped too tightly for someone (like me) with fat, stubby fingers to be any more accurate than I was before. The space bar is too small and well right of center. There's just one small shift key making it awkward to use while typing characters next to it. There are too many keys in general, and they don't replicate the iPhone setup, so it requires some getting used to. The device works well, but for myself the keyboard design provides no improvement in writing performance.

Wireless physical keyboard for the Iphone 4. Oct 08, 2011
By deecee I am grateful that a physical keyboard exists for the Iphone 4. In fact, this entire review is typed on this keyboard. The keyboard is attached to a case for the phone that is quite protective. This case would not work with the protective film for the front screen as the case will push out the film in the edges. However, I am realizing that the case does a sufficient job keeping the screen from getting scratches. One would have to be wise not have the phone in a pocket or compartment in bags with keys or coins that could damage the phone.
This is the most affordable one I've found (it was on sale for $28.) The keyboard needs to be charged. The USB cable for that is provided. It doesn't really use much power to function as I have gone weeks without recharging it but I am also pretty good with turning it off when it is not used. It runs on Bluetooth so it doesn't require any cables. Works perfectly!
There are some quirks: it does make the phone heavier. The space bar is not in the middle like most keyboards so you can only use your right thumb to use it. I was initially a little annoyed with that but you get used to it. The major reason I didn't give this keyboard all 5 stars is the need to hold the Shift button to get ! or @ from the numerical buttons on the upper left of the keyboard. That is a major flaw in its design.
All in all, it is a great product. It has most of the regular functions of a QWERTY keyboard. One must develop some minor adjustments over time in getting used to the keyboard. I really hated using the touchscreen keyboard of the phone so this is a great solution to that! Definitely worth it for me!

Love this keyboard! Aug 27, 2011
By C. Tescar I really dislike the virtual keyboard on iPhone so I was thrilled when I found this on Amazon for a reasonable price. It was very easy to set up and even though it made the phone a little thicker, it wasn't enough to even matter to me. The color matches the iPhone exactly so it doesn't look like an add-on. It'll take me a day or so to get used to the layout, but overall I think it's a great invention and it'll make typing on the iPhone a LOT easier for me.
