One of the best prices around - BUT buyer beware!! May 25, 2010

Shipping was lightning FAST - it was in my mailbox before I knew it! Very, very slight difference in color from Dell original battery, but not noticeable unless you were looking closely. So far (two days) it is working as expected. It was one of the best prices available from a seller with a good record. Note that some of the batteries in the same price range are the smaller capacity battery, be aware and look closely at the mAh ratings.
If I have any issues as time goes on I will post it to this review.
UPDATE: Here it is just a bit over one year later and the battery is as dead as a doornail. A month or two back it was starting to act weak (only lasted about 30 minutes) and now it did not even hold the laptop in hibernate mode for 1 minute. I figured that even if it only lasted the year it was a better $/month of use than an original Dell, and I'd have to agree that it met that goal since the last Dell replacement battery I purchased directly from Dell only lasted 14 months with a one-year warranty. From now on I'll just assume that all replacement batteries last just over a year and be ready to purchase another at 12 months.

I ordered this product from Brainy and the laptop battery would not hold a charge. They want me to return it for replacement, but won't pay the return shipping. The shipping cost is almost the battery cost. Not worth the hassle.

Replacement Battery Disappointment Oct 13, 2010

I was extremely disappointed in this product for the following reasons:
1) It did not fit flush with the system case, which is largely cosmetic but prevented the laptop from sitting on a table top in a level fashion.
2) The battery, even when charged overnight, would last a maximum of 15-20 minutes when unplugged.
3) After 4 days of use, the battery stopped taking a charge at all, and behaved no differently than my 4 year old exhausted battery or my system without a battery at all.
I was hesitant about purchasing a non OEM battery, but did so on good faith from some of the positive reviews I read. Perhaps these were customers with plain good luck, or perhaps the reviews were created in a fraudulent manner by paid employees of the company. Either way, I highly discourage potential buyers.

I bought this product and it did not work well. It charged only to 59% and it did not work. I do not recommend to buy this product, I was worried about it damaging my computer.

Bought for my son. Delivery was prompt and he is happy with the battery. Price is the best that I could find anywhere. Would buy from these guys again if I needed another battery.
