As good as Dell OEM battery Sep 29, 2010
By steveboca The battery holds a charge that is equal to the original Dell battery. 1st time I bought a third party battery that was not disappointing.

Renewed life in my D820 Nov 13, 2011
By Barry Purchased this battery for my Dell D820. I replace my OEM batter with this battery and my laptops has never worked so well. I now have ~3 hours of battery life.
Overall this is a great deal if you have an older laptop that needs some more life in it.

Great Replacement for Price Apr 11, 2011
By daveg This 7200 mAh 9 cell battery works great in my Dell M65 (D820) laptop and fit like a charm. So far, after several cycles, I couldn't ask for much better performance. The battery holds up under heavy use for over an hour, fits like a charm, and will re-charge in a reasonably quick time using the laptop on A/C power. At a price about 1/5 of what Dell wanted, I am quite pleased. I may order another one for a backup.
cant beat the price Apr 16, 2012
By deviat Dont be worried about the reviews about people claiming the battery never lasts when its plugged in 24/7, it will never last that way. Batteries are designed to be cycled. Simple google searches will verify this info. I am purchasing this battery for the advertised price and capacity as Dell wants about three times the amount. My laptop is over five years old and ive wasted many batteries by leaving my laptop plugged in for a week. I will report back after i test it over the next month.
Do not buy from this seller Apr 11, 2012

My advice is not to purchase anything from this seller. Here's part of the email I sent to them:
I purchased your 7800mAh/9-Cell battery (ASIN: B002U6483W) for my Dell Latitude D830 on 7-Jul-2011. It no longer holds any charge at all - zero! I run on A/C most of the time, so I don't know exactly when it died, but when I unplugged the D830 today [5-Apr-2012], it immediately shut down. I then ran a battery utility and it reported zero capacity in the battery. It has been only 9 months since I bought it from you and a battery should certainly last more than 9 months, so I'm guessing it was a defective battery (and it may have died before 9 months without my realizing it).
Here is their response:
Thank you for your email. Sorry to hear that the item you received from us can not work properly. We are regret to tell you that this item is full 6 months warranty, in this case, the battery was used more than 9 month, it is out off warranty. Hope you can understand.
I replied:
Most battery sellers provide a one-year warranty and some two years. Nine months is unacceptable. So, NO, I do not understand!
They replied:
Thank you for your email. Because we just can base factory's warranty, it just full 6 month warranty. And different shipper have the different product, so we can not request all the same, right? Hope you can understand, and thanks for your feedback, as we will try our best to improve this. Have a nice day!
I offered them the chance to do the right thing before writing this negative review (legitimate sellers usually appreciate the offer to resolve a problem before getting a bad review), but they declined. Btw, not only are there sellers with one and two year warranties on batteries, I found a seller offering three years. The only good news in all of this is Amazon. Their customer support is always excellent, which is why Amazon is my place of choice these days for buying almost anything. Even though it's beyond their normal 30-day window for returns, they are trying to be helpful. Regards, Joe
