2HDD enclosure okay, dont buy for optical enclosure  Sep 19, 2011

The hdd enclosure works just as specified. Only one of the three original screws work with this enclosure but it is a snug fit and working fine. The external optical drive enclosure is not made for any apple macbook optical drive. This enclosure is for a tray type optical drive not a slot type optical drive. The drive will fit in the enclosure (with make-shift enhancements) but the front of the enclosure is wide open. Seeing as I barely use an optical drive i am not too upset but the seller needs to sell a different enclosure if they are marketing this product as compatible with macbook pro optical drives.

The Internal Enclosure fit and worked great with my 15" Macbook Pro. The External-Enclosure did not work as suggested. (eg: It appears it may fit a tower desktop computer.)

This deal is the cheapest I could find on the net to purchase this type of Enclosure at this time. And most importantly to me, the Internal bay works.

Seller mis described item and this item does notfit any mac book dvd player that comes out from a mac book pro mac book regulare or any other mac book.

Bought this item to use with the M14x, the HD bay worked as required, but the SLIM DVD external case is not the same size as the device extracted from the laptop.
